BDP EnviroTech

BDP EnviroTech is a leading wastewater treatment company. Its innovative biological amplification process (i.e., Biological Double-efficiency Process (BDP) technology) is a highly efficient and energy-saving method designed for the petrochemical industry and municipal wastewater treatment. BDP EnviroTech employs a proprietary, low-power, carpet-type aeration system to supply oxygen for optimal conditions for bacterial growth. In addition, the unique microbial treatment and hydraulic circulation technology of the biological amplification process system creates an ideal combination of nitrification and denitrification while ensuring timely sludge recirculation. BDP EnviroTech is a leader in the wastewater treatment industry, providing solutions through project implementation, management, and maintenance that simplify customer requirements while reducing energy consumption and land usage. BDP EnviroTech is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.

Technology/Product Application Fields:

BDP EnviroTech’s many water treatment technologies, including the biological amplification process, aeration technology, and airlift technology, enable an efficient biological wastewater treatment process. They are designed to improve microbial treatment efficiency, reduce wastewater treatment energy consumption, decrease the footprint, simplify operation, management, maintenance, and repair processes, and enhance treatment stability and reliability, and are backed by multiple proprietary technologies and patents. BDP EnviroTech’s various technologies can be widely applied to petrochemical wastewater treatment. The Bidepu treatment system can remove 99% of ammonia nitrogen, 95% of chemical oxygen demand (COD), and 93% of cracking compound additives. In addition, BDP  technology is also widely used in municipal wastewater treatment, capable of removing 95% of the chemical oxygen demand (COD), 92% of total nitrogen, and 75% of phosphorus from wastewater.

Technology/Product Introduction and Advantages:

 •  BDP Carpet-Type Aeration System

Average and micro bubbles are generated in the aeration system. Compared to conventional aeration, the BDP aeration system can completely mix oxygen and bacteria to create a perfect ventilation environment.

 • Low Dissolved Oxygen (DO)

Better microbial growth is achieved in a water dissolved oxygen environment lower than that of conventional processes. The low dissolved oxygen in the BDP system enables microbes to grow rapidly, thereby producing efficient pollutant absorption and removal.

 • Continuous Diffusion Replacement System

Compared with traditional single diffusion devices, BDP has designed a more flexible diffuser to be connected to the conventional diffuser. Its function is to continue operating during the intermittent period after every 10 minutes of operation of the conventional diffuser, thereby maintaining the normal continuous operation of the entire wastewater treatment system.

 • Anti-Clogging Aeration System

The self-cleaning aeration system designed by BDP requires no maintenance and can be combined with the nitrification and denitrification processes to create a unique biological treatment environment, thereby participating in specific microbial treatment units. The principle behind the creation of this biological environment is that under a nitrifying environment with low dissolved oxygen concentration (0.3 mg/L) and high mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS), ammonia nitrogen is converted into nitrate, and the denitrification process converts nitrate into nitrogen gas. By limiting the oxygen concentration, the BDP process successfully allows both processes to occur simultaneously in the same unit. This unique process can achieve a 99% ammonia removal rate without the need for additional carbon sources. The simultaneous occurrence of nitrification and denitrification can shorten the treatment process and reduce the requirements for carbon and oxygen.
