iGlass Technology

iGlass Technology, headquartered in California, USA, is a developer, manufacturer, and distributor of electronically controlled smart blinds—intelligent devices with no ecosystem impact, operating under industry-standard control protocols. iGlass Technology is a member of the Attachments Energy Rating Council (AERC) and the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC).

iGlass Technology develops, manufactures, and markets its electronically controlled (dimmable, tintable) smart windows through multiple channels. These windows are produced as "smart appliances," designed for easy compatibility and installation in most existing "smart home," "smart office," and IoT automation/control systems on the market. iGlass windows are electrochromic, meaning their tint and transparency are controlled via a small electrical current. The windows feature a unique gray/neutral/black coloration, strategically differentiating them from known competitors.

iGlass initially developed the Secondary Glass Unit (SGU), a retrofit insert for existing window frames in residential, office, and industrial/commercial buildings. The next product category on iGlass’ roadmap is the Insulated Glass Unit (IGU), serving as retrofit replacements or primary new-construction windows with smart glass functionality. The third product category—Flexible Glass Unit (FGU)—is a flexible thin-film electrochromic layer installable as a retrofit or new structural component, offering advantages like flexibility, lightweight design, compatibility with curved surfaces, seamless aesthetics, and easy installation. iGlass controls are designed as plug-and-play "smart device" interfaces; they are protocol-agnostic and compatible with major building control systems, including Lutron, Control4, Alexa, Google Home, and more.

iGlass Technology’s digital blinds enhance occupant comfort by reducing glare, eye strain, and uneven lighting. They also lower energy costs, cutting HVAC expenses by up to 20%, retrofit to existing windows, provide UV/IR protection, can be tinted to any color, and are significantly more cost-effective than comparable products on the market.
